Tawergha local council dissolves committees following the return of displaced people

Tawergha Local Council chairman, Abdul Rahman Shakshak, has canceled all previous committees set up to follow up on the return of the Tawerghans following a statement by the head of the Presidential Council (PC) in December last year.

Shakshak said in a statement that the council was in the process of forming other committees to operate from the city of Tawergha, calling for the return of the crisis committee, the committee to follow up local and international organizations and the media committee.

Misurata and Tawergha dialogue committees signed, on the 19th of last Ramadan, a peace pact between the two cities ending the crisis of Tawergha displaced persons, which lasted nearly 7 years.
