HNEC announces closure of voter registration abroad

The High National Elections Commission (HNEC) announced on Sunday the closure of voter registration system for Libyans residing outside Libya, adding that the number of registered voters was 6,630 voters.

The HNEC said, on its official page, it has stopped receiving requests for registration from all Libyan embassies, since Saturday 11.59 pm.

The Elections Commission announced mid-March the extension of registration abroad until 31 of March.
