Al-Ittihad squad in Tunisia preparing for Akwa United clash

Al-Ittihad football club arrived on Sunday to the Tunisian city of Monastir in preparation for the match against Nigeria’s Akwa United in the 32nd African Confederation Cup.

Al-Ittihad will host the match at Taïeb Mhiri Stadium in Sfax on Wednesday, with the exception of striker Mohamed Zubya, who has been absent from the team for a long time.

The Libyan team is seeking a positive result that will strengthen his position in the next round ahead of the return leg in Nigeria two weeks from now.

Al-Ittihad reached the semi-finals of the same tournament in 2010 before losing to the Moroccan side, FUS Rabat.
