The British Minister of State for the Middle East at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Alistair Burt, said that Britain reaffirms the Security Council’s statement regarding Britain’s commitment to the Libyan political agreement as a sole reference to the transitional process in Libya. It also calls on the Libyan parties to continue the political process under the auspices of the UN.
