On Sunday, a member of the presidential council, Fathi Al-Mijabri, called on heads of diplomatic missions abroad to reject the “unilateral” decisions of the head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, to appoint ambassadors in some countries.
Al-Mijabri addressed the missions in a letter, pointing to the invalidity of the decisions of the President of the Presidential Council and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tahir Siala; citing this as a unilateral act.
Al-Mijabri stressed to the missions that the decisions of Al-Sarraj and Siala should not be implemented; adding that the responsible authorities, in host countries, should also be told to not implement these appointments.
