On Thursday, the President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, discussed with the Italian Foreign Minister, Angelino Alfano, a number of issues of mutual concern.
Both parties discussed joint programs to combat illegal migration and human trafficking, combating the smuggling of fuel by sea, cooperation between the two countries to secure the southern border through the training of Libyan forces and the provision of border guards with a sophisticated electronic system.
