The UN humanitarian coordinator in #Libya, Maria Val Ribeiro, condemned the continuing clashes in the town of #Sabratha and the deaths of several people, including civilians.
On Friday, Riberio expressed her disappointment due to the continued clashes in the city and civilian deaths form the use of heavy weapons indiscriminately – as reported through UNSMIL’s Twitter account.
In her statement, Ribeiro called on both sides to stop “hostilities”, refrain from the indiscriminate use of weapons in residential areas, and refrain from military escalation.
