#Government #Libya #News – International Criminal Court renewed its request for the arrest of Op Dignity Commander Mahmoud Al-Werfalli

On Wednesday, International Criminal Court Prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, called on the Libyan authorities to urgently bring the suspect, Mahmoud Al-Werfalli, to court.

According to the ICC website, Bensouda called for the leadership of Operation Dignity to show seriousness about her request for the detention of Al-Werfalli. She demanded Operation Dignity respect the court’s decision.

The prosecutor expressed “grave concern” about reports that Al-Werfalli was free, as this would entail his continued participation in additional killings.

Bensouda appealed to all states, especially the members of the Security Council, to support the efforts of the court to ensure the arrest of Al-Werfalli and to urgently bring him to court for a trial.
