The head of the crisis committee in the municipality of #Tripoli, Naser Creo, announced that the lack of investment in the water and sewage systems resulted in a malfunction in the pumps responsible for discharging wastewater into the sea. Creo stated that the presidential council had promised to provide the budget soon to start maintaining the sewage system. Large amounts of sewage discharged into the sea without treatment has resulted in pollution and contamination of certain parts of the beaches of #Tripoli.
