Italy: Ministerial meeting along the lines of the Berlin Conference on Libya on June 23.

On Wednesday, Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said that the next ministerial meeting on Libya, similar to the Berlin conference, will be held on June 23.

“Di Maio” added, in front of the Italian Parliament, that the meeting comes to strengthen international coordination, indicating that his country is actively participating in the follow-up mechanisms of the Berlin process, according to the Italian “Nova” news agency.

Di Maio explained that his country has continuous and fruitful communication regarding Libya with the main regional, European and international partners, starting with France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States, not only at the political level, but also at the technical level, according to the agency.

It is worth noting that the first Berlin conference was held on January 19, 2020, and was attended by the heads of state of Algeria, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Turkey, the Congo, the Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, its representative in Libya, the African Union, the European Union and the League of Arab States.
