Williams: Washington will support the Libyan elections in December.

Former Acting Head of the United Nations Mission, Stephanie Williams, said that the Libyan elections next December are an indispensable condition for the Libyan people who want their leaders to be democratically elected.

“Williams” said in an interview with the Italian newspaper “La Stampa”, that Washington could play a key role in the future by supporting the United Nations process in Libya, explaining that the good intentions of the international community towards Libya will be vital in the coming weeks and months.

It is worth noting that the UN Acting envoy to Libya, Stephanie Williams, led the dialogue process in the country that drew up the road map at the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum, through which it was agreed to hold the elections on the 24th of December.
