Private sources revealed to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that entities affiliated with Haftar in the city of Benghazi are seeking to close records of violations and crimes and record them against unknown persons. Anticipating any change in the Libyan scene.
The sources told the website that a number of case files open to investigation were closed on retrospective dates, some were registered against unknown persons, and others were transferred from the archives of the Investigation and Arrest Department of the Criminal Investigation Department to the headquarters of Saddam Haftar’s “106 Brigade” in the Benina region.
The sources added that the file tampering operations “affected” records of bodies close to Haftar, such as “the Anti-Negative Phenomenon Agency, the crime-fighting apparatus controlled by the leaders of the Salafi “Mudakhala”, and the special operations group, which is the most ambiguous among the security services close to Haftar, in addition to its wide powers And its affiliation to more than one security authority – according to the sources.
