The Presidential Council issued a decision to form a technical committee specialized in identifying the bodies exhumed from the mass graves in Tarhuna.

According to the decision issued on Monday, the committee is headed by Kamal Al-Siwi, head of the General Authority for Search and Identification of Missing Persons, and the membership of each of the head of the National Authority for DNA, Othman Abdel-Jalil, and the head of the Criminal Investigation Agency, Brigadier General Osama Oweidan.

The decision stipulates that the committee must submit weekly reports on its work to the competent judicial authorities and a copy of the reports to the Ministry of Justice.

It is worth noting that the head of the Tarhuna Victims Association, Abdel Hakim Abo Naama, said in a statement to Arraed last Wednesday that more than 20 bodies were identified through an exhibition of personal belongings of victims of mass graves in Tarhuna.
