On Monday, Turkey announced the imposition of new precautionary measures to counter the spread of the Coronavirus, including a comprehensive lockdown over the weekend.
Turkish President “Rejep Tayyip Erdogan” said in a press conference after a meeting of the Turkish government, that there is no other solution but measures to limit the movement of people, according to the Turkish “Anatolia” news agency.
Erdogan explained that the curfew will be a complete lockdown, starting from nine in the evening on Friday to five in the morning on Monday, and that movement will be banned during the rest of the week from nine in the evening to five in the morning, provided that the new procedures will start from tomorrow, Tuesday.
It is worth noting that the Turkish Ministry of Health announced the registration of 29,000 new cases of Coronavirus and 185 deaths during the past 24 hours.
