A member of the Tunis Dialogue Forum: The mission did not mention the name “Ageela Saleh,” as a candidate for the presidential Council.

A member of the House of Representatives participating in the Libyan Dialogue Forum in Tunis said, on Sunday, that the UN Support Mission in Libya did not definitively mention the name of Ageela Saleh as a candidate for the presidential Council, pointing out that the selection mechanism will be by regions, voting twice or lists.

The member, who preferred not to be named in a statement to Arraed, explained that the UN mission asked the members participating in the dialogue to submit proposals for mechanisms for selecting the executive authority without giving names of the candidates.

The member indicated that the mission has given the members from last Wednesday until this evening as the deadline for submitting the selection mechanism proposals, and the proposal that gets the highest percentage of votes is the one that is approved and implemented.

In the same context, the source confirmed that after the meetings of the members of the House of Representatives ended in Tangiers, Morocco, it was agreed on the necessity of convening the House of Representatives with all its members in Libyan territories.

It is worth noting that a member of the Libyan Dialogue Forum in Tunis said in a statement to Arraed Saturday that the mission asked members to submit proposals for a mechanism for selecting names, such as drawing up lists of candidates or choosing in the hall if they met, or putting the name of a person representing each of the three regions, Barqa Fezzan, Tripoli ”.
