The closure of 43 mosques in France since Macron took office.

The French Interior Minister, Gerald Darmanin, said Tuesday that during the last three years, France has closed 43 mosques since the French President Emmanuel Macron came to power.

“Darmanin” added that his country needs to fight “Islamism, not terrorism,” referring to the possibility of “closing non-extremist mosques that may disrupt public security in the country for a period of 6 months, according to what was published by Arabi 21 website.

“Darmanin” revealed that a hotline had been designated under the name “Fighting Extremism and Islam.”

It is worth noting that French President “Emmanuel Macron” said in early October that “Islam lives today in a crisis everywhere in the world,” and Paris must confront what he described as “Islamic isolationism seeking to establish a parallel system and deny the French Republic.”
