Saeed: Pleads not to give the opportunity to those who committed crimes in Tarhuna to escape punishment.

A member of the House of Representatives in Tripoli, Abu Bakr Ahmed Saeed, on Friday, appealed to the elderly and wise men of the eastern region and their representatives in the legislative authority, and its security and civil institutions, to assume their responsibilities. By not giving the opportunity to those who committed crimes and dug mass graves in Tarhuna, and not to let them go unpunished.

Saeed said in a post on his official Facebook page that those who kidnapped women, children and elderly people and put them in mass graves live and wander among you until this moment and will not hesitate to commit these crimes again among you whenever the conditions are available to them.

Saeed added that whoever believes that they are ordinary crimes is wrong, because they are crimes against humanity and against innocent people from Tarhuna and other Libyan cities, noting that what is revealed daily of mass graves is a stain in the modern history of Libya and a bad memory that will remain for a long time.

Saeed explained that the families of the victims from Tarhuna and other areas are still suffering bitterness and cruelty, losing their children and women and the kidnapping, torture, murder and throwing in mass graves committed against them, stressing that such acts are criminalized in all societies and in all countries and at all times, even times of wars and conflicts.

On his behalf, and on behalf of all the people of Tarhuna, its institutions, and the families of the innocent victims, Saeed called for cooperation in handing over the wanted people and bringing them to justice, so that we can know the fate of the rest of our women and our missing children and reveal the details of these horrific crimes and bring the perpetrators to justice, according to his publication.

It is worth noting that the Public Authority for Search and Identification of Missing Persons has revealed so far that it has recovered more than 86 bodies and remains from several mass graves in Tarhuna recently.
