The head of the Supreme Council of State, Khaled Al-Mishri, said that the talks are moving in the right direction towards ending the transitional phase the country is experiencing.
Al-Mishri added in statements, on Wednesday, that work is underway to activate the sovereign positions agreement, and how to go to the elections (presidential and parliamentary), stressing that we will continue working with our Moroccan brothers on how to activate what was agreed upon.
Al-Mishri clarified that reaching an agreement on institutions will restore the economic balance to Libya, and restore hope for reaching great solutions, praising Morocco’s role in finding a solution to the Libyan crisis.
For his part, Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita said that the Abo zniqa dialogue was an opportunity to emphasize his country’s position in support of the two councils as two important bodies to find a solution to the crisis, adding that Morocco by bringing the two sides of the crisis together opened the way for the Libyan dialogue.
It is worth noting that the delegations of the Supreme Council of State and the House of Representatives in Tobruk signed on the sixth of October in the Moroccan city of Abo Zniqa a draft agreement on the criteria for selecting the occupants of the sovereign positions.
