The head of the Turkish-Libyan Business Council, Mortada Kronfol, said on Tuesday, “It is possible to raise the size of Turkish exports to Libya, from one billion dollars annually, to 10 billion dollars.
“Kronfol” – in an interview with the Turkish Anadolu Agency – added that “Turkey considers Libya, which is preparing to implement investments, in the field of air transport, railways and road construction, as an important gateway to Africa.”
“Kronfol” stated that the Turkish gas and oil companies had received an invitation from Libyan officials to increase their investment activities, and had identified 7 licensed areas within the scope of the agreement concluded between the two countries, pointing out that 35 Turkish companies met with the Libyan Oil and Gas Council.
It is worth noting that the reconciliation government, in November last year, signed two memorandums of security cooperation and demarcation of the maritime border with Turkey.
