Siala demands the resumption of oil exports under the authority of the National Oil Corporation.

Foreign Minister Mohamed Siala called for an immediate resumption of the oil export process across all fields under the exclusive control of the National Oil Corporation.

In a speech at the Arab League meeting, delivered by Libya’s representative to the Arab League, Saleh al-Shammakhi, on his behalf, Siala explained that oil revenues will be deposited in a special account of the corporation until work is done to develop inclusive political arrangements in accordance with the Berlin outputs to ensure good governance and transparency.

It is worth noting that the President of the Presidency Council announced last August an initiative for a cease-fire in all Libyan lands, including the reopening of oil and its proceeds being placed in a special account of the National Oil Corporation.
