De Maio: We are working to activate the immigration agreement and rebuild Tripoli Airport.

Italian Foreign Minister Luigi De Maio said Monday that his country is working to reactivate the 2008 agreement concluded with Libya to allow their companies to participate in the reconstruction process.

De Maio, according to the Italian agency AKI, stressed the need for Italy’s participation in the reconstruction of the Tripoli airport and the Tripoli-Ras Ijdir highway, indicating that the Eni energy group has not left Libya at all, and that his country is the only one that has not closed its embassy in Tripoli. .

It is worth noting that Libya and Italy signed in 2008 an agreement to address the challenges of migration and human trafficking, and to strengthen political and economic partnership in all other sectors of cooperation.
