The National Oil Corporation announced, on Monday, that a foreign employee working in the Alsharara field was infected with the Corona virus, as a result of his contact with members of the Oil Facilities Guard of the “so called Mabrouk Sahban.”
In the same context, the President of the Corporation, Mustafa Sanallah, stated that the management of the “Acacus” company operating the field is about to evacuate it and stop the operations completely, as the field being stolen and looted which will lead to the suspension of fuel supplies to the Oubari gas station.
The Corporation said that the group consists of 20 members of the oil facilities guards who entered the housing for employees and resided there, asking the field management to provide 150 meals for the convoy accompanying them.
It is worth noting that the head of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanallah, said last June that the presence of military forces inside the facilities of the corporation poses an imminent danger to the employees.
