Russia calls on the Libyan parties to start talks according to the Berlin outcomes.

On Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry called on the Libyan parties to immediately start political talks within the framework of the mechanisms established by the resolutions of the Berlin Conference.

The spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that her country is convinced that there is no alternative to a political settlement for the Libyan crisis, and calls for the establishment of a stable system to stop hostilities in Libya, according to the Russian news agency Sputnik.

Zakharova added that the statements of the conflicting parties in Libya regarding the implementation of the ceasefire are encouraging, in reference to the statements issued by the President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, and the Speaker of the Tobruk Assembly, Aqeela Saleh.

It is worth noting that Russia confirmed, last Friday, that it welcomed the ceasefire declarations issued by the President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, and the Speaker of the Tobruk Parliament.
