Russian President Vladimir Putin and Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte stressed, on Wednesday, that the crisis in Libya cannot be solved by military means, but rather through politics and diplomacy.
The Russian presidency said, in a statement, reported by the Turkish Anatolia News Agency, that Putin and Conte reiterated, in a phone call, the need to start a dialogue between the various Libyan parties as soon as possible.
It is worth noting that Russia and Italy welcomed the statements issued by the President of the Presidency Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, and the Speaker of Tobruk Parliament, in which they declared a complete cease-fire in Libya.
