The President of the GNA, Fayez Al-Sarraj, confirmed, on Monday, during his meeting with the Ambassador of the European Union, Alain Bugia, that the initiative he proposed needs the support of the Union in its various stages, from the ceasefire to the parliamentary and presidential elections.
Bugia reaffirmed the European Union’s support for Al-Sarraj’s initiative, which it announced on August 21, to achieve security and peace in Libya, according to the media office of the President of the GNA.
Al-Sarraj discussed with “Bugia” the issue of illegal immigration and ways for the European Union to support Libya in facing the repercussions of this phenomenon.
It is worth noting that the President of the Presidency Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, launched, on Friday, an initiative that requires a comprehensive ceasefire, the resumption of the oil production and export process, and the withdrawal of all mercenaries from the oil ports.
