The House of Representatives reaffirm the words of Sanallah and warns of the occurrence of a disaster greater than the disaster of Beirut.

The Energy Committee in the House of Representatives said on Sunday that the continued closure of the oil fields that contain large quantities of ammonium nitrate may lead to a greater disaster than what happened in Lebanon due to the huge quantities stored there.

In a statement, the committee called for work to find urgent solutions to deal with these materials to prevent any damage in addition to the return of oil exports again.

The committee held all parties, and states responsible for shutting down oil responsible for humanitarian, moral and legal responsibility towards the Libyans, calling on the United Nations and its institutions to play their role in resolving this crisis before unfortunate consequences occur.

It is worth noting that the head of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanallah, said Saturday that Libya may be exposed to what happened in Beirut due to the militarization of oil installations that contain stocks of hydrocarbon and chemical materials, where there are more than 15 thousand tons of deadly and explosive ammonia gas in Brega, which if Exposed to any source of heat or ignition would be a huge disaster.
