The Women’s Office of the Justice and Construction Party demanded, Friday, the anniversary of the kidnapping of Deputy Siham Serqiwa, to disclose her fate and ensure her safe return to her home.
In a statement to the Arraed, the party’s women’s office official, Souad Boungab, said that last July’s disappearance of Sirqia was a disgraceful criminal act, and that the women’s office condemned this act.
Boungab recalled the assassinations of a number of political activists, such as former General Congress member Fariha Al-Barakawi and activist Salwa Abu Qaiqis, and confirmed that this sent negative messages to women in general and hindered their work and role in society.
Boungab explained that this act targeted the will, freedom of expression and decision-making, while we look to building a state of law, institutions and justice.
It is worth noting that, in July of last year, the 106 militia of Haftar kidnapped the deputy, Siham Serqiwa, after storming her house in Benghazi, because she demanded to stop bloodshed of Libyans and stop the aggression on Tripoli.
