The President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, stressed, during his meeting with officials from the Italian “Eni” company for oil and gas, the utmost importance of the speed of the return of oil pumping, given the serious financial and technical negative effects resulting from the continued closure.
The meeting, which was attended by the head of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanallah, touched on previous discussions about Eni’s implementation of a number of projects in the field of electric energy, improving the efficiency of the network, increasing the production capacity of the stations, and the technical and logistical requirements to achieve this.
It is worth noting that the National Oil Corporation announced that its losses amounted to 7 billion USD after the closure.
