Defense Ministry Undersecretary Salah El-Namroush said that the reports of military engineering experts confirm that the mines laid by the Haftar militia and the “Wagner Gangs” in Tripoli, which claimed civilian lives, are Russian-made.
Al-Namroush added, in a press statement, on Friday, that during the 28 days of work by teams to remove booby traps, mines and remnants of war, the number of incidents in which the working teams and civilians were injured is 56, resulting in 117 injuries, including 39 martyrs, and 78 wounded, including an 8-year-old girl.
Al-Namroush stressed that the elements of the joint committees and teams to remove booby traps, mines and remnants of war presented and provided examples of sacrifice and redemption in order for the displaced people to return safely to their homes, which they had to leave due to the aggression.
Al-Namroush indicated that this weekend witnessed in the presence of the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army and the Chiefs of Staff, the preparation of an integrated plan for how to properly rebuild the Libyan army in line with the current military developments.
It is worth noting that the militia of Haftar and the Wagner mercenaries booby trapped homes and neighborhoods before they were expelled from south Tripoli , killing more than 39 people, including civilians and military engineering experts.
