Russia Today, the Arabic-language channel , said that during the month of Ramadan, Turkey will increase its activity and its endeavor to establish a reliable air channel with Libya beyond the “IRINI” collar, in order to ensure the supply of forces of the “GNA” to be able to defeat Haftar’s forces in Ramadan.
The channel added, through its website, quoting Gregory Lukyanov, a senior lecturer in the Department of Political Science at the High School of Economics, that “carrying out this type of operation requires either establishing a military base on land in Libya, or an air base in the immediate vicinity of Libyan territory” For example, using the lands of Algeria or Tunisia.
It is worth noting that the Presidential Council signed in December 2019 a military and maritime cooperation treaty with Turkey and sent a copy of it to the United Nations and the Security Council.
