Libya’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Taher Asunni, said Thursday that the “Peace Storm” operation was launched to strike at the sources of attacks on civilians by Haftar’s terrorist mercenaries.
Asunni added, on his official account on Twitter, that the systematic terrorist operations against civilians are still continuing and dozens of women and children have been killed, in light of the usual international silence despite the requests for a humanitarian truce.
It is worth noting that the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Fayez Asarraj, said on Thursday that the ” Peace Storm ” operation launched by the army forces came in response to the aggressor terrorist militias and mercenaries targeting civilians.
