Tunisia and the United States agree on the need to resume the political track in Libya.

The Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Noureddine El-Ray, and the US Assistant Secretary of State for Political and Military Affairs, Clarke Cooper, have agreed on the need to resume the political track in Libya under the auspices of the United Nations.

“Al-Rai” and “Cooper” agreed, on Tuesday, during their meeting in the Tunisian capital, on the necessity of a ceasefire and pushing efforts towards finding a Libyan-Libyan solution that would guarantee a lasting political settlement to the ongoing conflict in Libya.

It is worth noting that Tunisian President Qais Saeed said, in a press conference in Tunis with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim Al Thani, that he touched on the possibility of inviting a number of Libyan tribes to hold an expanded meeting in Tunisia.
