Deputies hold the international community and Ghassan Salama responsible for the legal responsibility of Hifter’s crimes.

On Friday, the House of Representatives held the international community, and in the forefront UN envoy Ghassan Salameh, legal and humanitarian responsibility for the crimes committed by Hifter militias repeatedly and systematically.

In their statement , the deputies stressed the difficulty of talking about political dialogue in light of the brutal militia’s bombing of Tripoli, its apparent intransigence and its relentless efforts to foil it before it started, calling on the reconciliation government to take all necessary measures to protect the Libyan people, including military measures, targeting fire sources and concentrations of aggressive militias .

The deputies condemned in the strongest terms the brutal bombing of the capital, and considered it “criminal acts” that amounted to war crimes.

The Hifter militias targeted the capital, Tripoli, with more than 60 rockets, which resulted in the injury of a woman and a child, and damaged a number of citizens’ homes.
