The Turkish National Security Council confirmed on Thursday, the continued support of the Libyan government recognized by the United Nations, to establish peace and stability throughout Libya.
After a meeting, chaired by President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan, the Council called on all states to support efforts aimed at a permanent ceasefire in Libya.
The council added that Turkey will fulfill its responsibilities towards its rights and interests in the Mediterranean, and its responsibilities towards the Libyan people, who have had a historical friendship for 500 years.
It is reported that Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that Hifter uses members of the “Wagner Group” and everyone knows who is behind him, explaining that Hifter is not interested in a political solution in Libya.
