The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Thursday, that the report of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, proves the involvement of Hifter and his supporters in committing war crimes against humanity,
Requesting the United Nations, the international community, and international human rights organizations to assume their responsibilities in prosecuting those involved in the aggression against Tripoli and their supporters.
The Foreign Ministry stressed that the Secretary-General’s report accusing Hifter and his militias of committing war crimes is a noticeable development in the stance of the United Nations, noting that the paragraphs of the “Guterres” report related to the accusation of Hifter is in full agreement with what the GNA previously disclosed of military and security briefings and data.
It is worth noting that the report of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, issued on Tuesday, confirmed that an aircraft supporting Hifter bombed the military college in Tripoli, killing more than 30 students and other crimes against civilians.
