Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan stressed on Sunday, the need to put an end to the aggressive stance adopted by Hifter in order to implement the political track and other stages of the solution in Libya.
At the start of his meeting with his Russian counterpart, Russian President “Vladimir Putin” in Berlin, Erdogan said that it must be guaranteed that the Libyan parties accept the ceasefire and return to the political process during the Berlin Summit so that Libya can achieve peace and stability.
Addressing Putin, Erdogan added, “Our joint effort has achieved a relative calm on the ground, but we will reap the basic fruits of our initiatives with the Berlin Summit.” Erdogan continued, saying: The government of reconciliation and signed the cease-fire in Moscow, although the agreement does not meet all of its aspirations, and Hifter again demonstrated his support for a military solution, not political one.
