Salama: The GNA is the legitimate representative, and Aqila must respect the Security Council’s resolutions.

The United Nations envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salama, said on Saturday that Aqila Saleh must respect the resolutions of the Security Council, which recognized the GNA as a legitimate representative of Libya.

In response to a question to Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper about his Aqila Saleh attempt to withdraw the legitimacy from the GNA, Salama stressed that AqIla does not have the right to contradict what is decided by the UN Security Council.

It is worth noting that Aqila Saleh has repeatedly demanded during his visit to countries supporting the war the withdraw of the international recognition from the GNA.
