De Mayo calls for Tunisia to be included in the political settlement in Libya.

During his meeting with Tunisian President Qais Saeed, the Italian Foreign Minister, Luigi de Mayo, stressed that stability in Libya cannot be supported without involving its neighbors, including Tunisia, appreciating its role in solving the Libyan crisis.

For his part, Saaid reiterated Tunisia’s stance calling for a speedy solution to the crisis through political dialogue within the framework of the state’s legitimacy, affirming his country’s commitment to continue playing a positive role to converge the views of the various Libyan parties in a way that achieves stability.

It is worth noting that Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan expressed, in a press conference with his Tunisian counterpart, Qais Saaid, last December, his confidence that Tunisia will have valuable and constructive contributions to efforts to achieve stability in Libya.
