
The House of Representatives announced on Thursday that it welcomed the Russian-Turkish agreement for the ceasefire initiative, stressing that the solution to the Libyan crisis can only come through the political track which Hifter will not be part of after the attack on the capital.
The Council, in a statement on its official website, stated the right of the government of reconciliation and the Libyan army and its supporting forces to defend the capital and the assets of the people, calling on the countries that support the “rebel” against the legitimacy to review their positions on this aggression, and work to stop providing support to it and contribute positively to the solution Libyan crisis.
It is worth noting that Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan agreed, on Wednesday, with Russian President Vladimir Putin to call on the two parties to a cease-fire starting next Sunday.
