The Ministry of Transportation with the Municipality of Misrata met on Monday,
to conduct urgent executive plans to improve services at Misrata airport in
light of the suspension of work at Mitiga airport and officially divert flights
to Misrata.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transportation Hisham Boshkiwat during a meeting with Municipal Council member Mohamed Toumi, and Director of Misrata International Airport Adel Qazit, and Director of Airports Authority Mohammed Beit Al-Mal, stressed the intensification of work and increase of passports, port security and handling work, in line with air traffic at the airport.
For his part, Al-Toumi pointed out that extraordinary measures are needed, and the ministry is making use of all its capabilities, its departments and the relevant authorities.
It is noteworthy that the Libyan airlines suspended, on Sunday, all flights from Mitiga International Airport, and transported to Misrata International Airport until further notice, after the airport was bombed by random missiles from Hafter militias.
