Vice President of the Presidential Council Abdullah Al-Lafi discussed with Parliament Speaker Aqila Saleh ways to support the political process and advance the electoral process in the country.
Al-Lafi, during his meeting with Saleh in al-Qubba in the east of the country, affirmed the Presidential Council’s commitment to support the process of holding the elections through a clear roadmap in accordance with solid legal and constitutional foundations, according to his description.
Al-Lafi added that they discussed the file of national reconciliation, which the presidential council is working to achieve and promote in Libya, Aqila confirmed that Parliament supports the presidential council efforts in the success of the reconciliation project, through the issuance of laws that help in that.
Aqila and Al Lafi agreed on continuous consultation and coordination between them regarding elections and national reconciliation.
