“Williams” I visited the Democratic Party in Tripoli, and listened to the presentation of its vision on the elections.

The UN advisor, Stephanie Williams, said on Tuesday that she had discussed with the head of the Democratic Party’s founding committee, Mohamed Suwan and Nizar Kawaan, the urgent need to maintain the momentum for holding national elections in the shortest possible time frame.

And “Williams” added, in a tweet on her account, during her visit to the party’s headquarters in Tripoli, that she listened to a presentation on the party’s vision to move forward, relying on the broad popular support for the elections and the will of nearly 2.5 million Libyans who received their electoral cards for the purpose of voting.

It is worth noting that the Secretary-General of the United Nations, “Antonio Guterres,” appointed the American diplomat and former deputy UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salama “Stephanie Williams” as a special advisor on Libyan affairs to lead efforts to support the holding of the presidential and parliamentary elections in Libya that were scheduled to take place but were postponed to an unknown date.
