Salame and Abou El-Gheit Stress The Need For Regional Cooperation Regarding The Libyan Crisis

The UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, and the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Abou El-Gheit, on Saturday, stressed the need for regional cooperation in support of the political process in Libya.

During his meeting in Cairo, Abou El-Gheit expressed the University’s keen interest in achieving stability in Libya as a member state of the Arab League, stressing its support for the UN plan of action and the political process it is conducting.

The UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, is currently visiting the Egyptian capital Cairo to discuss the Libyan crisis.
