Pashagha: We Are Intent On Maintaining The Journalists Rights And Safety And We Will Hold Accountable Those Who Risk It

During his meeting with the official spokesman of the President of the Presidential Council Mohammed Assalak, on Wednesday,  the Interior Minister Fathi Pashagha, said that the ministry is keen to take into account the rights of journalists and their safety and hold accountable those who violate the law.

Pashagha discussed with Assalak ways to facilitate the difficulties and obstacles that prevent the media to perform their duties and work.

From his side, Assalak confirmed the President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj’s appreciation of the importance of what the media do and their right to cover events and access to information.

The social networking sites dealt with news of attempts to attack journalists and media coverage of official events in the country.
