Spain’s Proactiva Open Arms NGO has rescued 300 illegal immigrants off the Libyan coast and taken them to the port of Crinavis, Spain.

According to the agency, “Sputnik” on Friday, the nationalities of migrants were from Somalia, Nigeria and Mali, that were aboard 3 rubber boats, explaining that the Red Cross gave them clothes, food and medical assistance.

Italy’s interior minister, Matteo Salvini, confirmed last November that the number of migrants leaving the Libyan coast to the coast of the country had fallen by 92 percent from a year earlier.
