Ministry of Interior needs international support, said Pashagha.

The Minister of Interior of Al-Wefaq government, Fathi Pashagha, said on Sunday that the ministry needs direct international support through activating the work of the Police Academy, training security personnel, supporting the Criminal Investigation Department, and building its internal security capabilities.

During his meeting with the British Ambassador to Libya Baker, he stressed Britain’s “prominent” role in supporting Al-Wefaq government and its security and technical assistance.

Baker also expressed his country’s readiness to provide all the necessary possibilities and looking forward to a constructive cooperation with the government of Al-Wefaq to support it politically and economically.

Last month, the Minister of the Interior of Al-Wefaq government, Fathi Pashagha, signed a memorandum of understanding with the British Ambassador to Libya, Frank Baker, for cooperation between the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry and the British Anti-Crime Agency.
