Libyan Consul in Istanbul: We Expect the Exemption of the Turkish Visa for Other Age Groups

“We expect the Turkish government to exempt visas for other age groups over the next few years,” said the Libyan consul in Istanbul, Fathi Al-Sharif.

In statements to the media, on Sunday, Al-Sharif said that Foreign Minister Mohammed Sayala after his contact with the Turkish authorities confirmed that there is an exemption of the Turkish visa for other age groups.

He explained that the problem that faced the Libyan passengers at the airport in Istanbul last week, was because they arrived before the generalization of the decision to cancel the visa for the age groups under the age of 12 years and over 65 years, but the problem resolved quickly after the contact with the Turkish authorities.

The Turkish government exempted Libyan citizens under the age of 12 and over 65 years from the entry visa to their country.
