The sister of the former mayor of Benghazi Ahmed Al-Areibi, Buthaina Al-Areibi, said that her nephew Ali Al-Areibi who was kidnapped last October is released.

On her Facebook page, on Sunday, Buthaina Al-Areibi published a picture of her nephew Ali Al-Areibi, accompanied by his grandmother, without adding any information about the fate of her brother, the former mayor of Benghazi Ahmed Al-Areibi.

The social networking sites reported that Ahmed Al-Areibi is accused of leaking documents proving the involvement of the 106 infantry battalion under the control of Saddam Hussein, the son of Khalifa Hafter, in the transfer of large amounts of money and silver from the Central Bank of Libya Benghazi Branch to an unknown destination.
