Italian “Nova”: There is no agreement to appoint a new UN envoy to Libya.

Diplomatic sources said that there is currently no agreement on appointing a new UN envoy in Libya, nor on the structure of the mission in Tripoli.

The source added to the Italian “Nova” agency that the United Nations is currently present on the ground through “Stephanie Williams” as an advisor to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, in an attempt to avoid the Russian veto.

The source indicated that if a new UN envoy to Libya is appointed, Williams will leave, adding that Russia opposes the United States; “So it is clear that Stephanie will not become a UN envoy.”

The Agency stated that the postponement of the Libyan elections on December 24, the end of the mandate of the United Nations mission, and the resignation of the former envoy, “Jan Kubis”, brought back talk about Libya at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

A government source: Dbaiba intends to make a cabinet reshuffle that includes several Ministries, most notably oil and health.

Al-Sagheir: There are no obstacles to re-forming the executive authority, and there is harmony between the HoR and the State Council.
