The Director of the National Center for Disease Control, Haider Al-Sayeh, announced that Libya had officially entered the fourth wave of the Corona virus, after the spread of the “Omicron” mutant.
Al-Sayeh, in a post on his Facebook page, explained that the virus reproduction rate reached 1.5R0, which is “a number not seen in Libya for months.”
Al-Sayeh recommended dividing the country into health zones; To counter this wave, pointing out that it is not possible to set comprehensive conditions for the whole country; Because each region has its own peculiarity in terms of the spread of the epidemic, according to him.
It is worth noting that the National Center for Disease Control announced, last December, that it had recorded infections with the “Omicron” mutant for the first time.
